whats easier 4 speed install in or out
this weekend or next am going to put my motor (396) in my 68 when i got it the 4 speed was still hooked up, so never installing a 4 speed before whats easier with it in the car or taking it out and any tips would be great
IMHO, I would install the motor in the car first (with the clutch and bellhousing on it, with the clutch assembly properly aligned) then install the 4 spd. a 4 spd is light enough to handle fairly easy with out a transmission jack. this way you don't have the length and bulk to deal with as you would with them together.
