transmission temperature gauge question

Default transmission temperature gauge question
I am adding a transmission temperature gauge to my 80 Camaro. I have a TH400 Tranny with a Tranny Cooler. Does the Temperature Sensor connect to Top or Bottom Line of Tranny Cooler?

On tank cooler, bottom line is input, top line is output to trans.
