rear end placement

Smile rear end placement

hey i jsut dropped in my rebuilt rearend. it went in good but it seems slightly to close to the front of the wheel well. itll be fine but if i can move it back a little i can get some fatter tires on there. and fatter tires = more fun!! anyway can i just slide the rear end back on the spring or is there something else i should do to move it back?? still a newbie here

there is a locating pin in the center of the spring pack that has a hole in the spring perch lines up with.. if installed right then your tire should be centered on the wheel opening... something sounds out of place here...

Im pretty sure its on the pin. I know the bolt ur talking about and I thought I centered it. the bushing looks pretty flush but do u think it would show if it was off? Should I unbolt it and redjust?

You should be able to tell if they look centered from above... I know you can get ($) custom springs that are setup like a dog (dodge) with longer rear amounts of spring to help with axle wrap. I would just look around to make sure something is not wrong there, but I never remember a tire not being centered on my last 5 camaro unless the spring pack was broken and the car doggie tracks...
