Kinda dumb but I'm bored and wanna mount my tach. So for the question. Where'd you mount your tachometer? Pictures would be cool

 

Any where you can easily view it. Most put it right on the dash with the back angled towards the passenger A pillar.

 

Oh yea I know where they are usually placed I'm just curious to see pictures or here about unique places like on the hood. I probably will put mine on the dash but just curious

 

I have mine on top the dash. Required putting mounting holes in the pad, but it's in my direct view, and that's what's important. If your tach has a shift light it can be mounted off to the side, or lower, as the shift light will really get your attention without having to be directly in front of you.

Thanks,interior is stock from 76,car only had 10k miles on it before it was built. I think i would put the tach in the dash if i was to redo it,dont really use it, just the shift light and you can put that any place..

I run mine on the steering column I just always have. When they came out with the shift light it made quite a bit easier. Don't have to take your eyes off the track.
