Hey bud, you need to replace your coil springs as well. It is important to get the hight back. They are about 50 a piece, and a shock is about 20 a piece, easy to do it your self though. I just did it to my 92 RS. It looks pissed off again instead of a beaten dog.!! GO BOW TIE GO!
a 1981 Camaro doesn't have rear coil springs, they have leafsprings

I have a 1980 Z28 and have air shocks in it as well..and let me tell you I hate them...sure i like how the back end is jacked up higher...but its the worst ride ever...i feel like i have no control taking turns...and these camaros handled beautifully during their time...I am going to invest in some good big block springs to get the effect of the jacked up look...it looks soo much meaner..and just looks cool =P thats my opinion neways..

You should contact Eaton. They have exact stock replacements or they can also give you whatever lift you want.
