I agree the car looks great! I was hopein you were out enjoying the fruits of all that labor! how well does that fresh air duct work. do you see any difference, big, small? thinkin thats a good idea

Is the air cleaner assembly the one for the stock 80-81 hood? I like how it seals to the hood. Oh yeah welcome back.

Oh nevermind. I just realized the stock air cleaner wouldn't have snorkels. I need on like that to seal against my cowl hood though.

That car turned out nice. Even the "Danger Will Robinson" air cleaner doesn't look bad in there. I like how you pulled the running lights for them.

Thanks for alll the kind words. It's been a long haul. There is still small stuff to do. My dash pad still S**ks.
I don't really have benchmark to tell if the cold air makes a huge diff. The motor was overhauled during this rebuild of the car. I believe that the Air cleaner is from a vette. First I had a holley 600 with a weind sgl plane and I modified the top ring to fit the hood. Now I have an air gap and holley 750. I had to do major surgery to the bottom of the air cleaner to get it low enough. Woulld have been easier to just start with a cake pan. Then I adapted the snorkles to fit 4" Spectre hose. Some pics.
