As a little tid-bit of info to help make your patterns. Instead of cardboard I use mat board like in picture frames. You can get small peices at walmart. It is much easier to use then carboard and bends and rolls some. its thinner then cardboard and cuts with tinsnips or good sissors but it is more stiff then the cheap thin poster boards you could use too.
I own a frame shop so its easy to get! LOL
I make patterns all the time with it and they are heavy enough you can keep them for future use and they wont get all tore up.

Now hurry up on that car! I got 4 hours on mine lastnight and looking forward to all weekend

I guess my memory is getting worse. I don't remember those splash aprons ever on my car? Now I need to go open the hood and see if I can see any signs of staple holes that would indicate they were once there! If the holes are there I must have removed the aprons sometime in the last 38 years!

Just can't remember the ones I removed! The ones I used are much easier; I've got 38 yrs. of receipts in a bag for reference!

What? Where did that come from? I went back a couple pages on this project and never saw anything about 3.73 gears?
