That's pretty close to what I did to mine, ecept I went with the 375 hp solid lifter cam. My '55 was a straight axle gasser, and she would pull the front wheels about 6" at launch, and did low 12's in the 1/4. What a blast until some dirt bag stole it. Never saw it again.
My 283 would grab 7 grand so fast it would scare me! And with a 2 bolt main too.

yeah i bet that 55 chevy was a blast to drive,i like them little cars

anybody have an old tore up dash from a 70-78 camaro,im gonna be building a custom fiberglass dash,them dashes are hard to come by,i just need a junk one,hopefully one with a air dash thats gonna be where my gauges go.

There are three junkyards over here that have at least 20 cars between them. I would be more than happy to give you the nickle tour of all of them.

No problem, we have probly 10 junk yards or so in the area. From Grand Haven up to near Michigans Adventure.

well had apretty good xmas,i got the digital camera i asked for and bunch of tools i needed,now i can post some good pictures instead of them junk pictures from my phone.
