Anyone check out the Raybestos Camaro???
Well since I've always liked the look of the 2nd gen Firebird 400 hood, I like it personally. I've always liked mild changes, and using the Pontiac hood on the Camaro is a good look to me. Not sure why they're calling it the RS though? Nothing on it beyond the split bumper is RS.
Well I don't see much difference vs. seeing all the 2nd Gen Camaros with cowl induction hoods that were never a factory item. The first I saw of them made me sort of cringe, as I thought the shape didn't fit the wedge shape of the hood on a 2nd gen. But I eventually got used to them, and finally put one on my '71 when I replaced the L88 Corvette style cowl. I thought the L88 style cowl fit the lines of the 2nd gen better, but it never caught on.
Funny I used to love the L88 and now not so much. My brother had one with a mustang scoop on top of that. That may be why I guess. Some cowls are too much. Even the shape. I got the one from AMD because it rose quickly to 2" then went flat most of the wat to the windshield. The Goodmark looked like it tappers all the way and I didnt prefer the wedge shape. The Outlaw cowl on my Nova started WAY in the front, I wasnt big on that one either but I never ran it. It was more of a cover for storage. Raced with no hood.
