I've been looking into new rear leafs that will travel alot more, and a set of 12" travel rear shocks to go with.. would actually be pretty simple.

the front is going to stay at about 6" travel i just dont have the money or place to make a long arm kit for it. so im going to stiffen the front. not ideal but thats what i can do.. big block springs and some of these Monroe Sensa-Trac 58263 - Shock Absorbers | O'Reilly Auto Parts

with bbc springs and 3" spindles that should make about 5" lift. while still keeping stock travel. 6" isnt much but thats what ive got on my subaru and its decent enough.

the rear is going to be 5" lift leafs and some fox 12"travel shocks. I do have a welder its just not the best. i can weld on brackets and such but thats about it.

and of course subframe connectors..

this is all still a ways down the road as i still need to make it look, drive, sound and feel good.

Also the car's name is Bonemaro. its going to be flat black with gloss black flames.

It's been a while since I updated, between work and the woman I haven't had time for the camaro but today I got to go out and get dirty.

This is what I started with. not pretty.

this was the big area I focused on, it was just horrid.

some parts to help make the engine bay not only better looking but also more safe.

wiring diagram so I don't cut any wires that I shouldnt.

This is the reason my car didn't run when I first got it. someone had it set up on points wit this coil...you see it yet??

got the stupid computer wiring ripped out.

looks better

but still needs work

took the smog pump off and put on a nice chrome alternator bracket

the pile grows!

ditched the egr valve and bracket.

replaced the alternator belt, it really needed it.

split loomed all the power wires.

organised the spark plug wires.

And here's the finished product!

I still have a lot to do but its getting more and more road ready every day.
I really need to replace the cap, rotor, wires, and coil. I grabbed the whole distributor off a parts elcamino, I had to literally shake water out of it. lol
But it runs.. surprisingly well actually.

I also discovered the motor in my car is a crate motor. the engine code on the stamp is v1009800..

not sure what bias plus is...lol

yeah I think what happened is the motor came from an older car and the idiot who had the car before I got it wired it up with the points instead of HEI.

I'm really getting excited for this car, its running well and its going to get even better. soon I'm going to get a full ignition tune up. and an MSD streetfire box.

I wish I could find more information on the engine code all I could find out was thats its a gm crate motor..

Well I got paid and my wallet promptly burnt a hole in my pocket.

picked up a B&M transpak shift kit I figure if I'm going to have the trans out I might as well.

a new flex plate so my car wont sound like a industrial coffee grinder when I go to start it.

header bolts plus gaskets to go with my new headers

I also got 2 thrush turbo mufflers.

a new dip stick.. mine bent and doesn't like to go back in.

and finally got the ebay seller to ship me my damn distributor.. should have had it a week ago.

Will post pics when its light out.

I have seen the clear cap but the clear Accel Super Coil is a new one. You will soon hate it but it is cool the first time you see it at night. Looks like you have a plan. The trans kit is straight forward. Good luck!
