I have never been too picky about brand. I just get ATF rated for GM cars. Anything marked Dexron/Mercon should work fine. If you want to get trick stuff like TCI or B&M it's not a lot more, but I doubt it's worth it if the trans isn't something exotic.

 

Anybody know where I can find the bracket that holds the shift cable (79 Z28 Automatic) in the right place thats on the bottom of the trans pan ? its the th350.

 

Should be able to find that on any GM car from that era that has a TH350, and console. Should look like the one on this cable assembly at Fleabay:
