Default 77 Camaro question

Hello all - I recently started a frame off restoration on a 77 LT Camaro. The owner has decided to install a built up small block 400HP. He has decided to convert the car from an automatic to a 4-speed manual. Looking to go with a Muncie M-22 for the tranny. Any comments? More importantly is the rear end. Stock is a 10 bolt, I think it's a 2.73 ratio. He wants a posi rear end, and I'm not sure what gears to go with? Does any one have a suggestion for what rear end I can use and what gear ratio? Thanks for your reply !

10 bolt is fine. Posi is easy. Gears depend on how you drive it? 373 works for me , but I do minimal highway. 80 miles max and it roars down the road. Watch out when I come out of a corner though!!! LOL

I'd either go with an Eaton posi carrier, or a locker, but either way the stock carrier will need to go away to change to anything in a 3 or 4 series gear set. My choice for my big block Camaro was 3.42, but I'd go with 3.73 if most of the driving was around town, or 55mph and under with a small block.
