I love craigslist sometimes. I got a lot of body tools for $125 this morning.
5 piece air chisel set
5" air rotary sander w/disks
5.5" air DA with big roll of sandpaper
4.5" electric angle grinder
16" air stright line sander
16" hand board sander
8" rubber hand sander
body filler rasp
9 pc 5lb dent puller set
air spray gun & touch-up gun
7 pc body & fender set.
Should help out a lot after I get a compressor that can keep up with everything.
The tool cabinet came lined with new **** rug. Its kinda cool really....

nice find,what a great deal and all for 125 now u just need that compressor,can probably find a good one of those on craigslist too.

 

I used to have the same hammer and dolley set. They were less than 20 bucks. I think you still got an ok deal, just keep those tools well oiled. One thing I have found with off brand tools is if they get plenty of oil there happy.

Had some time to myself today and got alot of the smaller odds and ins bolted on. I still need to pick up a new alternator, belts and a lower rad hose.

 

Got some more done today. I replaced the alternator, belts and lower radiator hose as the upper one was like new. I finally got around to making a new power steering pump bracket as-well. It works, but I think I'm going to move the adjusting bolt up a little as the travel on the pump is almost maxed out. I still need to set the timing, but I'm nervous about it. I've never set it by myself. I know what to do, but I don't want to mess her up after all the time and money I've already got in her.

 

Well, tomorrows the big day. All I have left to do is install the starter and battery. Wish me luck.....

 

i do wish u lots of luck oldman9,hope she runs awesome for you let me know how she runs and that engine looks awesome in there,dont forget to burn a little rubber for me,wish mine was this close as soon as i finish pulling my front clip my engine will also be going in.give it hell bro.how easy did the headers go on once engine was installed.

 

I had to trim some extra metal off of the left of the transmission where it mounts to the engine. After that I had to jack up the left side of the car and feed the header up from the bottom. The left side was not easy at all either. With the new engine mounts the right side collector was about 1/8 of an inch away from the passenger floor board. So after a little help from a BFH... It fit much better. I checked the floorboard on the inside and I could not tell any deference. Just had to feed it into place from the top after that. I going to haft to wait on trying to start her today. My family decided that we should leave today instead of tomorrow like I had planed. May be Monday if I'm lucky......
