Default 71 468/T56 Project

Well Guess I will start out like everyone else!

New to the forum and just been sittin back reading. Looking forward to seeing and reading even more.

Ok here is 1 of my projects. Had an all Original 71 RS/SS 396 Auto with A/C and decided it be best to sell instead of chopping it up!
So found a $500. beater on Ebay. Since I had a brand new set of wheels of the other 71 and just happen to have a pretty healthy 468 sittin in the shop floor since a 582 went in the big 4x4 (Now there is a money pit!) So with wheels motor needed a body and tranny. found the body a few years back and just waited and waited till the right deal come by on an LT1 style T-56 and it finally did so several $$$$$$$ later headers, clutch, radiator and much more were purchased and now its been blasted primed and trimmed for glass. Yes its a work on drive kinda car! LOL

Pic's coming soon as I post enough?
So how many post I need before I can post pics?

I like to build whatever I can also! I'm too cheap to pay some of the prices these places are asking on parts. If I can make or adapt things from junkyard cars, then that's just money saved for other areas!

If you use a Fbody shifter, it will come up in the center of an automatic console. Instead of paying out the nose for a console and a shifter made to come up in the factory manual location. It looks better to me.
