I had a set of those rims on my 72 nova. I still like them and I plan on grabbing some eventually.

I don't have caps for mine Joe, and don't plan to get them on a car like the Austin. I do want to get or make the flat covers that guys used to run on the rear though.

well the 81 is getting an appraisal today so i can put it on the road, i am so excited to drive it. I hope it's not worth too much, that HST tax is killing me out here, It's like 18% tax on everything.

Is that a one time tax Joe, or every time you renew the plates?

? im not sure if they ask for the taxes every time Val, but in my case i will have to pay again anyway, it was too old for my insurance company, they said "new policy, they don't insure cars over 30yrs old"????? can you beleive that? And the other places i called were way to expensive ($500/month with our van) so i'm getting it put in someone elses name for now lol. it will cost me $140/mth.

Have you tried Haggerty, Grundy, etc.? They'll insure it (if it's garaged at night) for an agreed amount, and it wont be any more than that $140 for the whole year!

Cool thanks guys, i'll check it out. I think the rates are so high for us because were new to insurance, i never had it before and my GF only had her insurance for about 5 mnths (and she just got her lic. 20 days prior to that lol).

It took all of my 20s to get mine right. I got my licese when I was 18, 3 years after my friends. I got caught driving, real fast, when I was 14. My insurance was litteraly as high as the state of Michigan would allow it to go.
