Just got back from messin around, i figured out the bumper cover. i got all the over spray off the chrome but the inner fenders, rad support and cowl will all have to be repainted I got the bumper cover on, rear spoiler on, two grilles and one flare. I need another flare support/fastener (whatever its called lol) i broke two bolts taking it off, ill have to see if i have another one if not i'll be searching or welding?

anyway enough with the chatter for now, so without further adieu

Awesome Joe. Just read through your project and Im very impressed. I remember the day when my baby came home and it was great. I know how you feel with the over spray. I resprayed the inside of the wheel wells. Hubby tells me we will buff it off inside the engine bay, hood, and door jams. Not too happy about any of it. Goodluck with the rest of your project.

That looks great Joe! I know how you feel, sort of mixed emotions when it looks so good, but then you see things like the hood not painted inside, and the overspray. Had the same thing happen when I had my Camaro painted white back in the 80's. Took me two weeks of evenings and weekends to get it done and not mess up the new paint.
The window trim doesn't need any special tools, but a rubber block (like used for sanding) help when snapping it into place. You'll want to slip some paper between the body and trim to keep from chipping the new paint, then pull it out after it's snapped in place. Just go slowly, and check the fit. You'll see where the trim is tight and that's where the paper will save the paint. Most of it will snap in with just pressure from your hand, but if it's tight use the hard rubber block against the trim and give it a hit with your hand.
