But yeah, they got all the body work done, door pins and bushings aligned the front end all up (hood can close proper lol), door jambs painted, she's looking good and commin along. were those guys were busy when i went up, painting/restoring a land/water airplane, dump truck, a YJ Jeep and a couple insurance jobs on some fender benders.

I just read your build thread. Car looks great. I'm doing a similiar build on mine.
Way back you got some incorrect info on your welder, If it is capable of using gas ((MIG) Metal inert gas), You will use a mix of 25% argon 75% co2 for steel. Straight argon is for Alum and such. You also have to reverse the polarity. Directions are usually printed near where you load the wire. Mig will give you much cleaner welds.Less spatter and less porosity. When you do your floors you don't have to weld completely around the patch. You can overlap a small amount and weld through small holes. Then you use seam sealer. This is similiar to the spotwelds that the factory used.

Hey all, well got some word back. The Z will be coming home Wed. they said they were cursing me lol, I'm an amature and i sanded the car down wrong i left little indents all around the body from sanding out cracks in the paint so i guess it took for ever to straighten everything up and they said painting it black shows all the flaws so they had to make sure it was good. but anyway, i am excited and prob wont sleep till wed. lol.
Be back soon with pics.

well she is finally home, unfortunately i have no pics at this time (still on the camera) sorry. I will post some pics later on tonight. Now first thing i would like to ask is about the window trim, i never took the stuff off before and it is off (the shop never put it back on) do i need a tool to put it on or what? I don't want to scratch the new paint (which is absolutly gorgeous btw) so how do i install it? second what is the best thing to do to take off over spray? its all over my engine bay primer grey all over my shiny engine bay, my chrome, my inner fenders, my hood springs everything. they didnt even paint the underneith if my hood, it's still primer grey! RRR%^$$%#!&. Third thing, whats the rear bumper cover held on with? i have the straps and everything but is it bolts or plugs or something? but anyway i will have pics soon, keep in mind that theres no rear spoiler on it and no front flares or spoiler and i didnt get the decal set for it yet. I think the bumper is the cover gets plugs across the bottom. Lacquer thinner will get the stuff of your chrome. If the over spray is on any painted surface then you'll be repainting. Glass I use a razor blade.
