I'm ready to see this done when you going to update?

 

I would love to see it done myself, I been buying stuff for it though. I just need a body/paint job now, i have been a little derailed though. My 81 is going on the road next week so i been tinkering with that plus i bought another 80 but this one is a t-top 4 speed and in great shape, it doesnt have sentimental value but i think it's gonna be my new baby? Shhhhhhh don't tell the other ones lol. but yeah, i just think i took on too many projects at once so right now im just gonna worry about the 81 first, bring this one to the body shop and store the new one in the garage. once this 80 is done i'll sell the 81 for proceeds to the new 80.

Yeah sounds like a lot to take on. It only takes time and money sometimes both can be hard to come by. Good luck, and that one looks like it's in great shape.

 

where did you keep that car? I have never seen that much rust on an engine before...even my dads' 37 Buick

 

lol, the engine was rusted like that when i got it (the first page explains it). But the engine bay looks better now lol.

Little update, I decided to finish this one to driver quality and do a complete rottissarty rebuild on the t-top 80 Z28. So... the 78 will have to wait and rot (no indoor space) Anyways, i'm bringing the car to get the bodywork done soon so i put the passenger fender back on tonight and man was it ever a b*tch to do lol, it took me 3hrs to get it right with the shims and line it up to the door. I am so glad i have a bunch of camaros lol, all the little fender bolts and clips that i broke taking them off i would have had a hard time lining it up without all the bolts. i cut some of the floor to install a patch and found a couple more soft spots i wanna get at also.

It's comming along, maybe next summer i'll have my driver? Does anyone know of a good place to order 80-81 stripe package's? I need a set in lime green and i am not sure if they were ever made from the factory so i would prob have to custom order decals?

 

heres some recent pics of her, fenders are on , cowl area was primed and painted, she's commin along. For interior i picked up a mint used black dash pad and a carpet, can't wait for those to go in but first the inside has to be painted.
