Thanks, this will surely be a long project, I am still collecting parts, and tools, for the it. Kids are excited, I am working on a motor; I have 3 blocks, a 350, a 327, and a 305. I also have the factory 4-speed out of my 1979 Camaro, and it has a 4-speed in it. I am not sure of what trannys they are, but the one in the 71 has a 10 spline double ringer, thinking it could be a M-20. I will try to keep pictures posted.

yeah the one out of the 71 should be an m-20 if its the original one,if the 79 was a z28 it will be a borg warner st-10 if it is also original.i know what u mean im still collecting parts for mine too.just have fun thats whats important,and build lots of memories,i did with my dad always working on cars.

I got my interest in cars riding in my dad and his friends hot rods. The thrill of speed I think came from my dads best friends blown 302 Pinto. LOL They got us pulled over doing wheelies. I don't think I'll be street racing like they were with kids in the car. Things were different then though.
