I just got a 1972 survivor RS.(stole it)





it is missing seat belts. what it has is the seat belt on the floor and two female receivers that come up from the console side. something is missing on the head linner over the door. there is not shoulder belt and looks like a couple of plastic clips use to be there. I want to keep it all factory, so did the 72 have the same belts like say a 68 chevelle? or did they have the z type that keeps you from getting in and out the back easy, or did it have the two sections where you can put on lap and/or shoulder? ill post some pics in a few. any help would be appreciated.
has original spare on rally wheel wide oval never been on ground still have paint numbers on tread. totally as the general made it except for a carb some time ago, (the bad) has a 307 auto 2bbl. the good. high options rear defroster PS/PB/am-fm th350, AC original paint and interior, carpet never without floor mats. no rust other than a few bumps under the vinyl top trim. 87K, one owner, a little old lady now in a extended care facility. traded from her son. all paper work etc.

 

can anyone send/post pics of how the seat belts look that are over the door glass/on the headliner. what the clips look like, how many bolt holes, etc. just a few pic would go a long way for finishing this 72rs. any help???

 

So seeing how anyone reading this post must of have been as ignorant as me, which I am not now, or just didn't give a rats *** to try and help, here is what I found out. the 72 shoulder seat belt has two bolts with a plastic cover that bolts to the roof. a small clear clip that is clear plastic, 1 1/4 inch in size, and cost 39.00 for two! at Camaro central (and will probably break within the first week) along with a small coat hanger type clip (same type as hanging your coat on in the back seat area,) but is in the front by the drivers head on the roof, where the once springy rubber band attached to the seat belt (see pics) wraps around the coat hanger and the chrome buckle male is held up by the clear clip.( Not as good as the 68 which uses two wire hangers that don't break) so there is the info. And for those who didn't give a rats ***, feel free to stick it where you would like for future reference That was not intended to those like me, who just did not know.
