How to swap from dummy lights to tach cluster

Default How to swap from dummy lights to tach cluster

I have a 70 and im trying to swap the gauges. Dummy lights to tach cluster.Does anyone know how i should go about doing this? Thanks

what gauges are you using ? and by dummy lights do you mean the Service Engine Soon light ?

Me thinks he means "idiot" lights. You know, the lights that go on as a warning after it's too late, instead of having a gauge.

The cluster with the tach is called a u14 gauge package.There are some wires that need to be changed around in the plug that goes into the back of the cluster.Here is a link on which wires need to be moved,and how to do the whole swap.

Haha,yeah i realized that after i posted it,but i figure the question may come up again,so if it does they will already have the answer haha.This new way they have everything set up threw me off,since this thread was at the top of the section,i figured it was a new one,until after posted.
