i have a 79 camaro where the wipers died. I had them running to check that they were still working and as they were running they slowly died and stopped working...Should I probly replace the wiper motor or could it just be the wiper switch?? Also im havin some issues with getting my rear running lights to work...i checked all the fuses and bulbs, and all are fine...any advise would be great

 

well after a few weeks ive had time to work on the car some more...still havin the same problems with the wiper motor and lights...any ideas???

 

Check all the wires and clean all connections, You may have to replace some of the wires.

 

as for your back up lights...check your linkage that goes from the stearing wheel that goes to the tranny. that is tied in with your back up lights and your neutral safty switch

 

I had the same problem, after days of looking for a back conection I decided replace the light bulbs and the one lighting the license plate was burned and it was making a false conection. After changing it everything when back to normal. So check the light bulbs if you have not done so.

also, you could have a backfeed through the turn signal switch causing problems, when I got my car, the brake lights and taillights only worked when my blinker was on for a right turn. As for the wipers, sounds like the motor, def not the switch
