window molding binding

Default window molding binding

my new 1980 camaro has all new mindow and door molding and when i have the window rolled all the way up and shut the door , it shuts hard and a few gaps between the bottom of the window and door jam. anyone ever have this problem? not sure if i should just slim down the thickness of the molding.

Molding or weatherstripping? If you mean weatherstripping then it's pretty normal for that to be pretty hard to shut the door with the window up when new. I have the same issue, and I just never roll the windows up or down with the door closed as it's still too tight.
It took several weeks of having the windows fully up and closed before I could even roll them up and close the door. Now they still are breaking in after nearly a year because I leave the windows open in the garage. If you want it to break in faster always leave the windows rolled up when parked and it will eventually compress and work.
