Most guys just pick up and extra hood somewhere to cut a hole in and keep the stock hood stashed away in case they want to swap it back on.

 

I agree and that's a smoke'n deal on the LS motor.
Great engine,too bad their so ugly lol.

 

It is a good price for that motor, but after reading what all it comes with, you'd probably be paying about the same for that one (after buying everything you need) as you would for a new one. That one is missing headers, intake manifold, spark plug wires, etc.

 

I wasn't suggesting no hood, just a nice cut out that is shaped to fit around the blower. Hey, you can always buy a cheap hood and cut it out.

 

That could work...I just think I'll like the full hood better. I just cant really picture the car with the blower sticking out of the hood lol.

I'm actually kindof thinking maybe I should just go with my original plan and rebuild the 350 and make a good motor out of it. Either that or find a good GM crate engine that I can mostly just drop in.

That does look badass. I'm just looking for something a little more streetable, and really having a blown 454 is going to be more power that is unusable. I dont have the super wide tires in the back, and really I'm going for more of a pro touring car than pro stock if you know what I mean. Don't get me wrong, I love the looks of that car that you posted.

 

Im thinking right now I'll probably build a good strong running 350 or get a nice small block crate engine.

Can't go wrong there,decent power about as reliable as it gets and a great warranty.
