What did you do to your camaro today
Welcome to the forum walkingchaos! Looks like it's all there, but the trim on the windows. Or is that inside the car? A good start from what I can see!
I want it!! I have been looking for a nice 78 project car.
Those bars you talk about are prolly traction bars. If you dont know what they do they are there to prevent wheel hop from the springs wrapping up on acceleration. They work OK and if memory serves me Chevy even offered some from the dealership. I am not sure if that was only for first gens or if second gens could get them too.

Some dealers would do just about anything back in the 60's-70's. Traction bars were offered as aftermarket installs by many of the local dealers here. Most people didn't buy them through the dealer, as the markup and labor wasn't worth it.
Ya ok thats what he explained them doing (the traction bars) He also installed adjustable airshocks in the back, theres a valve in the trunk where you can adjust them.
Yes I have all of the window trim, front and rear. It is safely in the trunk and in very good, strait, condition.
The interior is going bye bye though. Def going to be driving it for awhile with bare metal inside and a few seats

Since October I have remodeled the bathroom. stripped more old wallpaper than I want to remember, painted the whole interior, ran 240V to the garage, hung cabinets out there, I also ran new gas plumbing to the new upstairs laundry room and because I moved the stove in the kitchen had to re-plumb that too. Then start moving. I'm pooped. I want a break. But won't take one.
I built a work bench this weekend because it was raining too hard to move stuff. The only break we had in the weather is when I got the Camaro home. Still have to get out and take care of the neglected yard.
I'm going as fast as I can, geez.

More OT work for me today!
I'm not sure how I worked all day before retiring, and then came home and worked until bedtime, plus weekends for 8-10 hrs. a day! Glad I don't have all that work stuff getting in the way anymore!
I got outside with the tools today and tore the grille out of the Burb. The plastic egg crate section was toast, and I picked up a chrome tube grille at the swap meet for $5, so I figured I'd see if I could fit it.
Problem was the tube grille was for the later Chevy trucks without the ceneter bar, and I didn't want to cut my center out. Decided to get the die grinder out and start whacking on the $5 grille instead. I cut the welds that held the center 2 tubes, and left the 3 above and below that. After cutting them out I test fitted the grille, and decided to set it back slightly to give a nicer look. Got the brackets out that attach it to the core support, measured the distance and chopped a couple inches off them.
After all the cutting and drilling I painted all the supports and brackets, then set the grille behind the stock grille, mounted the brackets, and then bolted the grille to the brackets. After some adjustment I got it aligned and then tightened it down. Reinstalled the hood latch, latch support, and turn signals.
Sure looks better than the stock broken grille, and gives a little more bling to the frontend without getting too custom.
