stripped down and ready for paint! took off all rubber trim and seals, all bulbs, trim, mirrors, glass, flares and wing. gotta throw some rollers on her so i can get the wheels prepped for paint and shes ready to go. took it today to get a few quotes on it. got a killer price, just gotta wait til next monday to drop it off.

 

well still trying to stay active on here and keep relearning what i forgot. Also still inching towards getting into the garage i'm hoping friday went to PA over the weekend to buy trains( one of my other hobbies) and finish cleaning out my garage up there got wheels and tires that hold air for the front so it will roll if my gravel driveway is somewhat more solid by friday i'll push it in with my truck it's uphill garage is ready but still have most of my tools stored at my buds house in PA heading back up there next week to get them then get busy.

What Scale do you model? I model HO scale and I have been planning a freelance Norfolk Southern branch line set in modern times. Most of my power is small engines like GP 35s but I have a few of the big boys like SD-90/45 and Dash 8 and 9s. My favorite thing to do when I belonged to the Modular club in VA beach was to set up my 2 SD-80's and a SD-90/45 with about 50 coal hoppers and run a really nice long unit train. I love long trains like that. Ok enough of my trains, this is Camaro forums not train forums.

I picked up a new Sony CD player and speakers for the Burb. Need some sound to listen to in the toy hauler. Made patterns from butcher paper for the rear storage area to build speaker enclosures for the sides. Then traced the patterns on panel material, and painted it blue to match the interior. Tomorrow I'll make up the speaker leads and cut out for the 4 speakers, then mount the speakers and panels, and wire in the stereo.

 

Decided the blue was too much for my panels. Went and got black naugahyde and covered them, then installed the stereo system. Tunes finally!
For convienence I built the left side from two panels. R. side has spare tire, so one panel was fine:

 

Massey i'm in o gauge right now think i'm sticking with them i run conventional so some toy like stuff and some prototypical mixed kinda partial to Lionel but i run em all just made a deal to trade some of my long stored HO i was a little more model and less toy like with them in HO i like the big diesels i have some 6 axle centuries a few sd-40's also some gp's and rs units. i went beck to o gauge for my christmas layout 7 years ago my disabled son loved the trains but HO was too small i haven't been abvle to go back since.
ok onto camaro stuff attempted to get it in the garage today but found one tire i brought bask has a huge slice in it! so i talked to maintanance guys her and they are gonna come by tomorrow with the tractor and do the job.

I stopped by the bodyshop friday and removed the hurst shifter to bring it home and freshen it up. I'm going to replace all the bushings with the metal ones from Hurst. It's an OEM shifter so it has the bayonette style mount for the stick which must be worn out because there is alot of slop in it. Thinking I will drill the mount for bolts instead. It doesn't have shift stops either so I think I'll add those while I'm at it. Any tips for cleaning and lubricating the shifter mech.
