I pulled my 71 out of the garage, laid down a fresh set of black stripes in front of the house, stripped the interior completely out and power washed the underside. Had to make a bunch of noise since the neighbors won't have the honor of listening to her for a while. The restoration started today!!

Sounds fun af, you gotta send us updates of how the restoration goes! I've been wanting to do some work on my interior but can't stand putting her up for too long. Probably a good idea to do it in the winter though.

Started putting interior back together, got the rest of the suspension blasted and painted then fought the heat in shop for the most part.

Realized that a rear wheel cylinder was leaking on my '79 Rally Sport so took the wheel nand brake drum off. After looking at the brakes, decided that after almost 40 years, it was time to completely replace the rear brakes including wheel cylinders, drums, shoes, and spring kits. Got parts and brake cleaner. Then took one side apart and cleaned it. In the process, I was looking at how nasty the rear end looks - so now I am trying to decide if I should clean it and possibly paint it! Typical issue of working on one thing and getting distracted by other work. Especially since I am looking to paint it soon.

I installed my new window crank then put the panel and everything else back on. The old crank came off and I never could get it back on. I also removed my bulbs from my center console to see if I can get some brighter ones. I wish they would have put the bulbs in front of the gauges and not behind them. I thought they were the 194 push in type but they were a small round bulb that pushes in and turns. I can’t find a number on them.
