Did some prepping on the 454 my daughter got for her 79.

 

Cast alum never stays nice. I paint them.

 

just got it out to take to a local cruise....and sometimes I get to go to the big shows...

Dropped a 454 in it.

 

Then made the hood fit.

 

Then pieced and welded.

 

Waiting for the cash train to come on by. I am looking for the temp sensor on the 350 motor for the 75, then I can start moving forward. I also have to get some bigger wrenches. \,,/

 

Washed the car, checked the fluids and tire pressures preparing for a SCCA autocross event tomorrow.

Been stripping, sanding and priming the blue 79 Rally Sport to get it ready for painting. Going to go back with the dark blue metallic instead of the original two-tone. Got about 2/3's done but won't be able to work on it this week. Looking forward to the new look!

 

The way it's been raining here; I only need to sit mine outside and add soap to wash mine! Good luck at the autocross!
