Default Which to upgrade first: handling or power, for '79

I've just gotten ahold of a '79 305 berlinetta. I'm looking to do some engine mods and some suspension/handling improvements. Should I mod the engine, exhaust, etc or should I take care of the handling first? Thanks

The motor won't help you if a ball joint fails I would suggest suspention first, and uppgrading to thicker swaybars. then do the motor.

Right now I've got 14' rally wheels on my car. How much of an effect on handling do you think going to 15' or 16' wheels would be? What do some of you other guys use as far as wheels and tires go?

I have found that Camaro's seem to like 225/70R14, 225/60R15, 225/70R15, 235/60R15 for a good ride and good cornering. I currently have 245/60R15 front and 255/60R15 rear on my '79 Z and they handle like crap in the wet and on rutted pavement the car wants to follow the ruts cause the tires are to wide. I'm gettin a set of the origional five spoke steel Z28 rims that my car was origionaly sold with and wrapin them with a set of 225/65R15 maybe 235/60R15 I'm not sure yet.
