Default Update on my Z28

Ok.... I finally got the car to my house. I have the Rusted out T-tops Z28 plus the 350 motor and TH 350 transmission. Come to find out, the sellers were not very open with me. What had happened was.... My car got traded to seller for a job to be done on the traders camaro, the seller sold me the car without all the parts in place because he hadn't finished the job for the trader and now the trader refuses to release my parts because the job is not finished. Luckily the lazy guys left the car with motor and tranny out in a back yard and I was able to pick all of that up. I have the clear title and car in hand so I'm not worried about the rest of the parts. Now I just need to find a donor car! Do the 74-81 Trans Am and Firebirds match mechanically with the camaro? What about Interior? I've got a lot of work ahead of me!! Also any suggestions on getting the front windshield out without making a giant mess? I'm new to restoring cars so I need some help... Thanks guys!

congrats on getting it home, that sucks about the parts though. Yeah some parts will interchange from t/a's to camaro's, not sure about machanics though, some things are different from pontiac and sbc.

If it's of the same year(s) it will interchange on everything except the engine and some body panels. Interior can swap around, as can rearends.
The windshield can be taken out with piano wire if you get it pushed through the caulking and have someone pull it along the edge as you pull from the other side. They make little L shaped cutting tools to cut the caulking loose, but it's a pain if the caulk is really good shape. If it's old and original it might almost fall out like mine did!

There are a few differences in the wheel arches, so swaping ground effects is out. I think the body line on the lower section near the rocker is different too. This makes swapping doors and fenders no good. Here is a good link. http://www.nastyz28.com/forum/showthread.php?t=143682
