Well that one wont do me much good then... If you should stumble across anything over there Nomad would you let me know? That would only be a ride in the truck and not a couple hundred bucks for shipping.

Here's a link to statewide craigslist. You can check your entire state for related items, rather than just your area.

Thanks for the link sir. I just found a posi rear end out of a '72 Chevelle that has 4:11 gears in it. It's the same size as mine and I'm going to try and get ahold of the guy tomorrow. It's a couple hundred miles away from me and he's asking $400 for it, hopefully it's available and in good shape. I'd probably change the gears to 3:73 which is what I want. The guys got the cover off of it for inspection but I'm thinking it would help if I knew what I was looking at? Wish me luck!

Glad I could assist. Hope you can find something that will work. I used a full sized Pontiac rear cut down for my Austin. I chopped the cast ears off the 3rd member to clean it up, then welded brackets on to adapt it to ladder bars and coilover shocks.

According to the chart you provided, they are both 62.5". I'm betting it's the 28 spline though, not the 30. Still better than what I have now. Can't get ahold of the guy, a little annoyed right now. Have the day to myself today (finally) and would be nice to just roll out and get this thing and have the project well on its way to getting done.....
I'm not excited for this, can you tell?

The housing won't bolt in but a gear swap is no problem. Sorry I couldn't help. I will keep a look out.

Should I not look into this rear end Nomad? Will this rear end not fit the Camaro? The chart BB427 provided says they're the same size length. I want something that I can basically just swap with mine. I can deal with 4:11's for the time being. Just not sure if I'm misunderstanding what you're saying?

I got ahold of the guy and will go look at it on Wednesday. I was told the whole setup is in great shape and there's nothing wrong with it. Just want to make sure that it'll fit in the Camaro if I buy it.

What Damon means is they are both the same 10 bolt width, but Chevelle is a coil spring car, and your Camaro is leaf springs. You'll need to have spring perches welded to the axle and cut off aall the coil spring brackets.
