trans Crossmember issues
Needs some help here. Im putting a 350 ci and a TH350 into my 1970 that came with a standard trans. When I went to bolt on the transmision the crossmember does not line up with the holes in the sub frame they need to be about 10 inches closer to the front. Even more so the crossmember cant fit that close between the body and frame. Is there a differance where a standard and auto trans mount. Help
There is a difference in where they mount, but the same crossmember is used in both. I believe there are another set of holes for both positions. Been awhile since I've been under mine, but I seem to remember this.
Yeah I had to drill through the frame and line up the crossmember closer to the mount on the TH350. No fun!! But its done. I had to losen the sub frame from the body to move it forward. I wish I would have thought about this befor i started banging on it to move it forward.
same just move it back
