Today I went out to drive my car and the only working gear is reverse, when i go into drive or any of the low gears it idles like its in nutral. Any ideas of what could be causing this problem?

Make sure your shift linkage didn't come apart, and check the fluid level. If they are good, your tranny needs work.

Definatly check your fluid level. Engine running and in park.
I had a friend who said he could put his in reverse, get out and do stretches before the car would back out of the drive. I told him to check his fluid, he said "no way." It was his fluid being low.
