TH350 Reverse issue

WOW, check out this image.
The long on is out of the truck with issues.
The short one is out of my 79 C10, which is the same as the one in my Camaro.

That is a big difference.

The length difference of the dipsticks means nothing if the tubes are also different lengths by the same amount.

Camaro 69, you're absolutely right. gfrench, like i said... from experiance (twice with th350's) fluid was fine, would lose reverse and within a couple weeks the tranny was gone completely. But that was back in the early 90's and another was just a $100 bill away.

The tube is longer, but not that much longer.

I added more fluid, no help. I just thought I would check.

I am just going to change the tranny.

Yes, need to check the tube length, and the difference between them. Longer dipstick is normal, just need to ensure it's the right one for the tube and truck.
