Default T56

I'm thinking about swappinga T56 into my 1980 Z28. Has anyone on here done anything like this? If so, is there anything I should know while planning it?

i would look at the vacume hoses and make sure they are correct. If there are any. Also check the linkages. I am half guessing here, hoping someone will come along with actual experiance and knowledge on this and correct me by educating the both of us

I just put a t56 into my 72. American touring specialties makes a kit that has a new adjustable crossmember and factory style lt1 or ls1 style hydraulics(depending on age of trans). Also has mounting bracket for master cylinder. Kit cost me 585.00. sure made it easy. Then all you need is a pedal set. The firewall already has a capped off hole for the clutch rod. Mine went in with a big block and had no trouble at all. I'll be driving mine in about a week. The website for ATS is t56kit.com. Good luck!
