The car pictured is not JUST a Z28, it's a Z28 with the RS option of urethane nose and split bumpers. If you were going for a high end 2nd gen that would be way up there in desireability.

In my neck of the woods finding buildable shells of 70-73s is like finding the lost city of gold. Have you considered getting a running car to start with? This gives you the advantage of having most if not all the parts you are going to need. That there will save thousands of $$$ and lots of time. Also if you are not dead set on the early second gens you can find the mid body and late body for alot cheaper than the early body. Type LT is the "Luxury" model usually with power windows, door locks, and A/C. 74-77 and 1/2 of 78 didnt have a Z28 model, and I think in 80 the Type LT was replaced with the Berlinetta.

I am dead set on early 70's

But I will keep my eyes peeled for one thats running

If I can't find one - as much as I'd love a Camaro - I think my second choice would be a Trans Am

I'm trying my hardest for a Camaro

I have an APB out to all my friends and if they ever see one they're gonna call me
