ok so ive had this aftermarket radio in my closet waiting for acar to put it in so i decided i mise well try put it in the camaro now that its mostly done.....so i hooked up the hot and the ground just to see if i could get some power......and now i dont have any headligths!...o and the radio still doesnt work..(and its a pioneer head unit if that makes a diffrence on anything)

 

did you blow a fuse or a relay??? if you arced it, it could def. be that.

 

hmmm....iskill go over the box in a minute...but now that it hinka bout it when i touched the ground just to test it it sparked at me...so maby a fuse went somewere..
ill go look through them all

 

well i found out what i did...when i put the hot for the lights back in i put it in the wrong spot.............but does any1 have any ideas on how to hook up a head unit from scratch(last owner butcherd wireing harness for race car)

 

um, a buddy of mine hooked my pioneer into my car, i can ask him how he did it (I suck with that kind of stuff

 

so do i lol....ill build motors all day but idk anythign about wireing...i can feel my way through like the ligths and switchign in a head unit ...but putting one in from scratch ill end up fryin the whole car........i ahve all the time in the world to get this radio in anyway...till it works ic an always just listen to the motor lol

 

good news...i went through and just from the basic stuff i learned on the headligths i got the radio in and working......im quite proud of myself lol...was a bit sketchy at first but soema dvice frm dad and i got in in and goin
