It depends on Your budget. I'd probably go with front discs from a 67-69 Camaro or Firdbird or a 68-72 Chevy Nova. For the rear, It gets more complicated. You'd have to find a vehicle with a disc brake that would physically bolt up to the axle tubes and fit Your wheels. Im sure a lot of Mid size GM's will do this. If the budget is kinda good, Baer Brakes makes the kit do do all around. Awesome but pricey.

they have some kit good kits out there. I have the replacement ones made for the camaro which unlce bill is referring too. if ur going rear I went big brake kit for its for a ford since I put a 9" bc I was tubbing the car. What about the mastercyclinder? I would replace that too and all the brakes lines. Remember its not all about how fast u are when u cant stop. I would replace the front and rear to disc brakes. replace the lines with new ones and the mastercyclinder that way u know that all is working great. good luck.

Yes, Forgot to mention that. If you do the early Camaro / Nova swap, You need it's booster / Master Cyl / Brake Pedal linkage too.

I believe you have a single master cylinder?

you could go to at least a double and front disc brakes. that alone will give you big improvements. the next step is a power-booster. if you go this route you will need to also change the rod in between the booster and master AND you will need to change which hole the rod goes into on you brake pedal, so pay attention there. also don't forget to get a proper proportioning valve for the upgrade

I replaced the front drums on my '69 Camaro with a kit from Classic Industries. Everything went on real smooth, everything I needed was there, works great, stops great.

i bought a kit for my 69 from a place called Mattsclassicbowties.com... it was roughly 1400 with shipping and that included 4 wheel disc brakes ( drilled adn sloted rotors), new front spindles, new brake lines, and a new master power cylinder... came with everything i needed for a direct swap, now the car stops on a dime. u should give them a call or check out the website
