Starting engine

Yo, my '73 seems to need time everytime i try to start the engine. Ever since i bought it i let it run everyday for 30 minutes even in the cold, but i was wondering when it going to be like a normal car, and i dont hav to open the hood everytime i want to start it?

Not really, she really doesn't like cold weather..but she tells me in english how much fuel mixture she wants.
