The original fusible link that you replaced is a "slow blow", and it can withstand a certain amount of a power surge or short before it burns out. A fuse like what you put in, will blow at the slightest amount of draw past it's amperage rating. Be sure to carry spare fuses with you, you're gonna need them. You should consider using a fusible link instead, like the one nomad showed you earlier. Fusible links were used by the factory for a reason.
