Default Soooo, my new racing seats dont fit...Doh!

So, I tried to install my new Natami racing seats today for my 78 but it doesn’t fit! My new seats with the sliders are wider than my original seat …so much for 'universal fit'! Has anyone else experienced this?? Did you build an adapter? Thanks in advance!

Where did you have to drill the holes, in the seats?

Hey guys, thanks for writing back! Drill wholes huh? I thought drilling wholes were unsafe because the stock wholes are reinforced, while new wholes wont be as strong...BUT I might be wrong :P

So, heres the pics!

I dont know if you can tell from the pic but the top slider of the seat is higher than the botton slider...there's a bump in the center floor where the seat is...its a good half inch difference in height. Is any of this making sense?? haha

Wow, looks like it's going to be hard to fit those in. Not much room to adjust the breckets.

Yeahhh, its going to be extremely tough because of the height difference in the floor center, but if my dad and I find a way I'll post some pics Hey Rob, got the specifics on what you guys did to your seats??

o the fronts floor pan where the seat mounts r alot higher so we just bolted them to the sliders and in the back took some box steel about an inch thick and bolted it to the slider and used that box steel to move the seat away from the center concil about 2" worked out real good

sorry i said to move it away from the concil it actually was cuz the brackets on the seat were way to thin in the back of the seat but we still did the same thing i described above and the box steel we bought was the type wit all the holes but lik i said worked perfect
