siezed up bolts, what to do?

Default siezed up bolts, what to do?

Im replacing the alternator cover on my 78 Z28 but there are two bolts that I just can't get to budge. I've tride using "Liquid Wrench" but it didnt work at all. Hints, ideas?

I presume you're talking about the long bolts that hold the case halves together? A little bit of heat with a propane torch should do it, but don't over do it and cook something you shouldn't. Sometimes, the end of the bolts stick out, and you can touch a chunk of dry ice on the bolt to shrink it and break it free. You might be able to get some dry ice from your local Baskin Robbins ice cream store. And remember not to touch it with your bare hands!!!

You might as well pour water over it than using LR. PB blaster is much better but if it's really bad, use it daily for a week before attempting to get the nut off.
