Default Shut the door!

Okay, to make a long story short. I need a passenger side door for my 78 camaro. I called a place in hemmings ( American Pie Classics) said they had it, they sent me a door for a early year car. interior door handle is different as is the door skin, does not have ridge at bottom of the door. American Pie has been extremely difficult and unpleasant ( DO NOT BUY FROM AMERICAN PIE CLASSICS is what im saying)

How ever this does not solve my door problem. Does anyone have a good source, or have a door personally they would be willing to part with??? Ive been scanning craigslist and to no avail. I tried to reskin the door i was sent, and the fitment is so bad that I do not want to even use it. Any leads would be appreciated

try classic industries, they seem to have everything for our vehicles.

I'm confused about the "ridge" you mentioned? All 2nd gens have a ridge a few inches above the bottom of the door. I know the interior panels change, but didn't know of any change to the exterior.
National Parts Depot lists all door skins from 1970-81 as the same part number. I'm guessing they sent you a 1st gen Camaro door, or the new skin would have fit.

I figured out what this door is cause you are right bb427 about the door skins. This door is off a firebird. Early second gen... Still don't buy from American pie classics

Now that you're done making the long story short, what's the long story? Does it involve an open door and a garage?

No, The long story involves my car with no door at all, and me angry!!!! that it has been this way for some time... The door that was on my car the actual shell was rotted out. so I figure im going to order a door from that place that has a tv show, Desert valley auto parts. On their web site they have TONS of camaros in the yard....
