Im not keeping it stick. If the block is ****ty i'll buy a crate engine for it. The exhaust is going to be full custom as well. Im keeping all the stock body parts too so i don't know what im going to do. I might just leave it stock (other than the exhaust). If i did something it would be very subtle. Im just kinda looking for ideas.

I hope you would consider keeping the stick. Out of the 81,000 or so Camaro's built in 79 only 8,000 were manuals. How many do you suppose were wrecked or converted to auto's? not to mention they are alot more fun to drive that the automatics. Mine has a couple different ideas going. I'm mixing some old school with some new. The headliner and rear package try got a diamond tuck n roll (kinda old school but looks good). The body and chassis is unmodified except for the polygraphite bushings and the custom alighnment settings. Stock Z's handled good, but, a more agressive alighnment makes them handle even better. I'm loosing the 79Z emblems and replacing them with origional, unrestored 69Z emblems, the script is alot nicer looking and flows better with the cars lines (yet more old school). I'm building a mild 327 (not many 79Z's with 327's in them). The BW super T10 is comming out and a Kiesler T56 5 spd is going in with an Auburn posi and a set of percision gears 3.21's or 3.42's. She's staying black and is not getting the factory stripes. I'm topping it all off with a 1000 watt Alpine JL Audio system.
