Default seat belts

Ok here is another questions we have the lap belts in the front. I guess the guy who redone the interior left out the shoulder belt that hangs on the roof. The headline covers up the anchor point for this belt does anyone know roughly where this anchor point would be. becuase the headline is in really great shape and it looks like he used some type of glue and I would hate to mess it up. Any help would be great becuase I would like to a 3 point seat belts in the front. Thanks

As far as I know the used only lap belts until 74 then they switched to the lap/shoulder belts. Do you have the plastic pieces onthe top ofyour seat that guide the shoulder belt ?

No but there is four buckles for the front seats. So I am assuming that it had the shoulder belts. When I had my 69 lemans it was the same way. I think the guy just left them out I know it was an option for the car. Thank for the help.

if your car is not made for the shoulder belt it may not fit.the retracting mechanism is pretty big.on my 78,the belt anchors on the roof between the door glass and the rear glass.just about over the rear passenger's head.the headliner for my car came cutout for this

All 70s came with a separate shoulder belt. It anchors to the roof behind the shoulder position of the front seat when moved fully back. It requires two plastic holders on each side to keep it in place. One is a colored piece that looks like a coat hook, the other is a clear plastic piece that goes inbetween the colored piece and the anchor. I dont believe any models had any guides on the back of the seat in 70.

i did get the seat to move up a little more I think it my need a little wd-40. for the seat beats i am almost sure it had the shoulder belt becuase there is a buckle for it in the front. There is a coat hanger hook. I have found out on the early models a 3-point was an opition but retractable part was on the floor and the shoulder belt fasten to the roof. Thanks for the help.

the only guide i can think of ,is on the seat, its right above your shoulder as you are sitting in the seat.it is a two piece deal that snaps together and screws to the seat.the retractor on a 78 is behind the front seats ,on the roof, directly above the rear seats
