Post safety air bag

Hello everyone,
New to the forum, just purchased a 1978 Camaro to be a project for my 14 year old daughter and myself. Has no motor, but plan on installing a newer fuel injected motor. Anyway, I have a question for all of you... I want to install a drivers side air bag in it. I think this can be done with a steering collum swap from a car that has a air bag. But I am not sure what else i will need other then the modgule and/or sensor.
Has anyone done this? Does anyone have any info that would help? Or am I crazy and this can not be done?

I am sure it can be done, it would be a nifty safety feature and should help with insurance rates too. I would think a column swap would do, but you might need to fab a connector for it. You are right in thinking sensors and a module, maybe a junk yard would have what you need. I would go see and buy a service manual for the donor car to see what is involved.
