Default Sad Day Indeed

Pulled the Z28 in the garage today and hooked it up to the battery tender for its long winter hibernation.
Weatherman is talking about snow already for next week.

Around here I always find a day once a month in the winter that's nice enough to get the Camaro out for a spin so I don't need a charger or fuel treatment. But I sure miss summer with daily drives!

Sometimes we don't see anything resembling the sun for a week. Sometimes its a ***** going around the block in my pickup, LOL. I'll post you up some pics after the snow starts really coming down. We have been getting blasted the last week of Nov. a few years running now. Last year was bad, but not as bad as every year when I was a kid. The year before last the drifts in my driveway were tall enough for the mirrors on my truck to scrape it level. My cars turn into snow banks if they don't move. I can't wait...not.

Just had to add this oddity. It's the middle of November and I'm listening to a nasty thunderstorm WTF.

After we get our first snow of the year the roads get salted and usually are not clean until the first hard rain around April. Long time, no drive Z28.

Salt is useless up here. Fine gravel is what goes on our roads. We tend to get more ice and extreme cold (-25C and below) than snow, but we get the occasional winter storm and usually wind up with a couple feet before spring rolls around.

The Camaro's waiting for its new engine so I can't drive it no matter what the conditions are. I don't have a garage to work in, so there's no point in even trying to do anything until it warms up, around the start of April.

Once the salt hits, the camaro and Harley are done till spring. A sad day indeed. On a brighter note, i was just given a little beater truck to drive the winter. Now storing the camaro isnt such a pain.
