Rochester dual 210 help!
I have a 229 v6 in my 1980 camaro rs, it had the original Rochester dual jet 210 on it, when I ordered the new carb for it I got a dualjet off of a 231 v6. The carbs look the same and fit the same but there are a couple vaccum hoses that don't match up correctly. Specifically there are two hoses that combined into a plastic tip the used to go in the back of the carb but that nossel that was on the original carb is not on my new one. One of those hoses has some sort of cylinder connected to it that says carb and dist., with arrows pointing in opposite directions. But the distributor already has a hose connected to it... So I'm at a loss, if anyone knows why these hoses don't match up or even what to do please let me know! Thanks!

I would install the new carb like the one it is replacing and hiook up the hoses the same and plugged/cap off those nipples not used on the new.
The cylinder is a vacuum delay for the dist improving the engine emissions.......yeah right.
