I'm curious whats the largest rim/tire combo used on a Gen 1. I've seen a 68 with 12" out back and 10" up front but didn't get to ask about mods for fitment. They were both 18" tall.

The reason I ask is because I'm thinking about 18x10 for the rear and 18x8 for the front.

Any suggestions.
