time to change gas tanks to much crap in it .fuel filter will last maybe 10 drives .how much of a chore is it ? new paint job fresh rebuilt and now cant take it out for a drive without taking spare filter

 

Not too bad if you have a helper. Just two bolts that hold the straps, and the lines. Prop up some blocks of wood and a sheet of plywood underneath before you get the bolts completely off. You can run them down close before propping the tank up.
Then just back them off and it will rest on your makeshift platform. Be sure it's empty (or close) before you start. When you're done, just slide it back onto the platform and reinstall it.
